Bennett's Mill Orchestra...

BMMS Orchestra

My name is Cynthia Wilson, and I am extremely excited about beginning the orchestra program here at Bennett’s Mill and Cleveland Elementary.  I have been Director of Orchestra Studies for the past twenty-two years, first in Muscogee County (4 years) and then Cobb County (18 years).  I am a violinist and have had the honor of being a member of the Nashville Symphony, Macon Symphony, Columbus Symphony and Orchestra Atlanta as well as performances with Barry White, Emmy Lou Harris, Judy Collins, Peter Nero, Lionel Hampton, the Bee Gees, Wild Cherry and many more.

Your decision to provide your child with an opportunity to be a member of an orchestral ensemble is an investment in your child’s future.  You are providing the opportunity for self expression, creativity and achievement.  Like any skill, interest counts far more than talent, and with strong support from you, playing music will become a natural part of your child’s life.

Here at Bennett’s Mill we have three different levels of orchestra: both beginning and intermediate 6th grade, intermediate and advanced 7th grade, and advanced 8th grade as well as a fifth grade orchestra at Cleveland Elementary. I truly am excited about getting to know both you and your child. I am available at any time if you have any questions or if any problems arise.  The best way to contact me is through email, and my email address is   wilson.cynthia@fcboe.org or wilsonsbaton@gmail.com.   Always remember:    “music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life!”
